Palm Beach County School receives first set of laundry machines through Degy IMPACT in conjunction with Mckinney-Vento Program
The laundry machines were installed at Palm Beach Lakes Community High School on February 24, 2025.
DELRAY BEACH, FL – Degy IMPACT, Degy Entertainment’s charitable arm, is an initiative aimed at providing laundry resources for students in need. In a ribbon-cutting event, Palm Beach Lakes Community High School (PBLHS) with support from the McKinney-Vento Program received a donation and installation of Degy IMPACT’s first laundry machines.
“It’s an honor to partner with the Palm Beach School District and McKinney-Vento Program to place these first machines at PBLHS. We know the impact that clean clothing has on school attendance and this will help families in the district who need easy access to free laundry,” said Ari Nisman, President and CEO of Degy Entertainment.
Members from the Degy team met with PBLHS for an intimate ribbon-cutting ceremony where Principal Rosalind McCray shared how much of a need and impact this installation will have on the students.
Research shows that one in five children lack access to clean clothing, a challenge that often leads to school absences and significantly increases dropout rates. The McKinney-Vento Program aims to address this issue by donating laundry machines to local schools, ensuring students have access to clean clothes and the confidence to succeed.
Degy Entertainment unveiled Degy IMPACT on January 30, 2025. Through its focus on health, education, and charitable initiatives, Degy IMPACT exemplifies the company's commitment to making a difference in communities nationwide. Prior to the official announcement, attendees of the Degy Live: Cruise + Buyer Showcase were invited to bring bottles of laundry detergent to support the cause. With over 100 industry professionals in attendance, Nisman revealed that these contributions would directly support the first machine donation.
“Degy IMPACT and its dedicated team of 35 staff members across 21 states have contributed to today’s machine installation and donation,” said Nisman. “We also want to recognize the many generous programmers and buyers who made this initiative possible. Organizations such as Carnival Cruise Line, Disney Cruise Line, Valencia Shores, 7 Bridges, Ponte Vecchio, and many others played a vital role through their laundry detergent donations at our recent showcase.”
In addition to its clean clothes initiative, Degy IMPACT has partnered with the Gift of Life Marrow Registry to facilitate Gift of Life bone marrow registrations and health campaigns at events. Lastly, Degy Impact will be launching a national scholarship program for students pursuing careers in the entertainment industry.
