West Palm Beach, FL – Degy Entertainment successfully hosted its first self-produced showcase, Degy Live: Cruise + Buyer Showcase on January 14, 2025 at Banyan Live in West Palm Beach. The milestone event, planned and executed entirely by the Degy team, brought together 30 diverse acts and over 60 buyers from industries including cruise lines, resorts, HOAs, colleges, and more.
The six-hour event showcased musicians, comedians, speakers, poets, and interactive performers, each delivering an eight-minute set designed to demonstrate their talent and versatility. This curated lineup underscored Degy’s breadth of offerings, creating an engaging experience for all attendees.
A Memorable Event from Start to Finish
The Banyan Live venue reflected Degy’s brand identity, with vibrant dècor, customized cocktails from KegKraft, and gourmet cuisine by Chef Alberto. Guests were welcomed with breakfast, a buffet lunch, and hors d’oeuvres, and left with exclusive gift bags featuring artist merchandise, a programming book, and a commemorative poster. “The showcase was about creativity and connection,” said Chelsea Rhoads, Marketing Director at Degy Entertainment. “Every detail was designed to leave a lasting impression.”
Introducing Degy IMPACT
Ari Nisman, CEO & President of Degy Entertainment, introduced the company’s newly launched non-profit initiative focusing on health and education. Partnering with the McKinney-Vento Program of Palm Beach County Schools, attendees donated laundry detergent to support homeless families, addressing a critical need for clean clothing. With one in five children reportedly dropping out of school due to unclean clothes, Degy IMPACT committed on stage to donating the first set of laundry machines to a Palm Beach County school in collaboration with the McKinney-Vento Program. This heartfelt announcement set the tone for a day dedicated to making a difference through entertainment. “The School District of Palm Beach County is honored to have shared insights at the Degy Live Showcase on the challenges impacting homeless students. We are thrilled to partner with Degy Impact to install washing machines and dryers in schools, removing barriers to attendance and supporting student success.” said Amy Mazzocco, McKinney Vento Program and Student Attendance Manager.
Blending Live and Virtual Experiences with Degy World
The showcase also utilized Degy’s proprietary metaverse platform, Degy World, allowing virtual attendees to participate via custom avatars and livestream performances from immersive digital spaces. “The hybrid element added reach and accessibility,” said Nisman. “It’s an innovative approach to engaging audiences beyond the physical event.”
The virtual platform, originally developed during the pandemic, allowed attendees to create custom avatars and experience the showcase in a fully interactive digital space. Guests watched live stream performances from a virtual cruise ship or uniquely designed stages and spaces within Degy World, adding a dynamic layer to the event’s reach and engagement.
New Connections and Future Opportunities
The event introduced Degy’s talent to new buyers, many of who were engaging with the company for the first time. Early feedback from attendees highlights promising opportunities for partnerships and bookings. Many attendees were first-time collaborators with Degy Entertainment.
Degy extends its gratitude to the artists, buyers, staff, and collaborators who made this event possible. “Degy Live was more than a showcase – it was a celebration of connecting talent with opportunities,” said Nisman. “The enthusiasm from buyers and the incredible performances affirmed our vision for the future.”
