Ari is the President and CEO of Degy Entertainment and has immersed himself in the entertainment industry since 1995. Though more than anything in the world, he’s a devoted father and husband, and likes nothing more than spending time with his two year old baby twins. He hasn’t slept in years as a result of this. Ari obtained his degree in communications from the University of Michigan a long, long time ago. He began his work with Polydor/Atlas Records, while still a student. After leaving Polydor/Atlas, Nisman joined Capitol Records as a field marketing representative handling promotions for the midwest region. As an over confident 19 year old, still in college and with very little music industry experience, Ari started to sign several bands to management deals and formed Degy Management Services with a buddy. He inked several of those early management clients to record label deals and publishing agreements (much to his amazement at the time), but continued to have trouble landing them booking agents. So, in 2001, he sought out a way to add booking into his fold. Ari bought out a Colorado based booking agency that year, hiring most of its staff. They actively signed new acts to the booking roster, and built a niche agency supporting independent artists. A few years later, Ari pushed the company heavily into the college and military booking arenas, both areas where the company is now revered for its worldwide expertise. In his spare five minutes each month, Ari enjoys spelunking, collecting baseball cards, naming the state capitals, and pronouncing the word onomatopoeia.
